Summer Digging Trial 8-2011

.We have been seeking a process for delivering trees from our nursery when customers want them rather than Spring, sometimes Fall ( if they are not Fall Hazard) as had been our practice in the industry. Contractors and developers may need trees in August; Municipalities may have too many Spring chores and planting trees later than Spring may make manpower scheduling much more efficient ...

We have been aware of products such as Bio Plex - an established product featuring seeweed extract and Moisturin an anti dissicant with its own core customers. We recently had an opportunity to conduct our own trail in our own nursery and at almost no cost because of the partnership of Carl Munn, Munn's Nursery, Brooks Oregon and Dan Shoemaker, DPS Trees, New Ringgold, Pa with Lou Pektor and myself owner and manager of Mid Hill Nursery respectively.

Carl donated two quarts of his new product, Nature Shield. Dan, who does a fabulous job as Mid Hill Nursery's contract tree digger, volunteered his time and equipment to dig and transplant 4 Prairiefire Crabapples and 4 Crimson Cloud Hawthorne from our nursery to new sites on the nursery.
